IT managed services provider AKUITY Technologies, of Auburn, has been acquired by ICS of New York, the businesses announced on Thursday.
ICS provides IT managed services, cybersecurity, cloud migration and other project-based services, as well as hardware and software reselling for small and medium businesses.
All 50 AKUITY employees have transitioned to ICS, according to the ICS press release. AKUITY's COO, Brian Hanify, has been appointed president of New England operations.
“After getting to know the team at ICS, it became clear that they were the perfect partner to bring expanded products and services to AKUITY clients,” Hanify said in a statement. “This will allow us to continue driving technology efficiency and security while lowering costs.”
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Editor’s note: AKUITY previously served as the IT firm for New England Business Media, WBJ’s parent company.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified Brian Hanify as AKUITY's CEO. He is AKUITY's COO.
