AG takes on environmental wasteland

After seeking a contempt order and fines last week against a transfer station in Milford, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal has requested a court order against the operators after learning of a second illegal dump in Stratford. On behalf of the Department of Environmental Protection, Blumenthal is seeking a temporary injunction against the operators, Associated Carting Inc. and D. C. Waste Management. The court action is requesting an immediate end to collecting waste at the sites, removal of all solid waste within 10 days and proof of proper disposal receipts for the DEP.
