A firm registered to owners in Chelmsford and Burlington have paid $2.6 million for a pair of adjacent buildings on the eastern edge of downtown Fitchburg.
Included in the sale is a three-story building with five retail units along the street and 15 apartments above at 1 Lunenburg St. and a 12-unit, four-story apartment building next door at 10 Summer St.
Both were bought by a firm registered to Frank Lallos of Chelmsford and Peter Fondini of Burlington. The seller was an entity registered to Michael Lamkin and Debora Lafleur of Fitchburg. The sale closed March 25.
Lallos and Fondini previously bought the 18-unit brick apartment building in Worcester's Main South neighborhood at 24 Charlton St. for $1.55 million in October 2019. Lallos is the senior vice president of operations for Woburn recordkeeping firm NRS, and Fondini is the vice president of finance for Burlington payment processing firm AliasWire.
The property at 1 Lunenburg St., whose building spans about 19,000 square feet, was last assessed by the City of Fitchburg at $558,100. The site of the 12,000-square-foot building next door was last assessed at $485,900.
