Acton medical marijuana dispensary Mass Wellspring reopened Wednesday after being ordered by the state to close for violating regulations around security, sanitation, disposal of marijuana and labeling.
The dispensary closed Feb. 8 after the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission ordered the company to cease and desist all operations at the facility.
In an Instagram post, the company said the dispensary was open today for normal hours. On Monday, Mass Wellspring agreed to accept responsibility for the violations and submit any improperly-stored marijuana products for retesting, according to a document on file with the CCC.
The company agreed to submit a monthly inventory of all marijuana -- growing, processed and stored -- for six months.
Mass Wellspring agreed to notify local law enforcement of any breach of security less than 24 hours after any incident.
The company will be on probation for three months, during which any offense could lead to administrative and disciplinary action to the company’s license.
The commission performed an unannounced inspection on Feb. 7, during which officers identified violations of the medical marijuana regulations determined to pose an immediate or serious threat to the public health, safety and welfare.
Violations include security issues, sanitation, waste disposal and product labeling.
