Acton-based MacPherson Medical has received FDA approval for a product that is used to organize operating room instruments.
The product is called the Stat-Mat Minor and will be available for shipping today. MacPherson claims that the Stat-Mat Minor reduces instrument set-up time in ORs from as much as 15 minutes down to only 10 seconds.
MacPherson is teaming with resellers throughout the United States to reach the hospital and ambulatory surgery center markets.
The Stat-Mat Minor is a follow-on to the original Stat-Mat product, which the company says was invented by an OR nurse.
