Acton engineering firm Geocomp has named Sean O’Brien as the company’s new president.
O’Brien takes over the role from the company’s founder and CEO, Allen Marr, who will become the company’s senior strategic advisor, according to a Wednesday press release from the company.
O’Brien previously led the Boston engineering firm BSC Group until May 2022.
Geocomp maintains a presence in major cities across the United States and employs 120 people. The company specializes in the real-time monitoring of infrastructure and provides consulting services to test the ground on which infrastructure projects are built.
Geocomp was acquired by French engineering company Sercel in 2022. Sercel is in turn owned by France-based CGG, a publicly-traded engineering and technology firm.
