A month after naming Brian Hullinger as its new CEO, Psychemedics of Acton hired Shannon Shoemaker as its new chief revenue officer.
Shoemaker joins the firm after a brief term with Pennsylvania human resources screening company Vertical Screen, according to her LinkedIn profile. Prior to Vertical Screen, Shoemaker served as senior vice president of marketing and strategic alliances at New York drug-testing firm Cisive, where CEO Hullinger served as chief revenue officer prior to joining Psychemedics.
"We are thrilled to welcome Shannon Shoemaker to Psychemedics as our new chief revenue officer," Hullinger said a Sept. 21 press release announcing Shoemaker’s hire. "Shannon's impressive track record and dedication to excellence make her the ideal candidate to lead our strategic growth initiatives. We look forward to her contributions as we continue to innovate and grow in the industry."
Psychemedics didn’t not respond to a request for more information as to who Shoemaker is replacing or if chief revenue officer is a new position.
Shoemaker’s hire came amid two other departures of Psychemedics executives from the company in early fall, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Executive Vice President Charles Doucot left the company on Sept. 15. A few days later, on Sept. 20, Assistant Controller Michael Weisenhoff left to take a position with another company.
Psychemedics is a publicly traded company specializing in drug testing hair samples for clients. The company reported revenues of more than $25 million in 2022.
