Acton wireless broadband equipment company Azimuth Systems will be part of a global effort to make interoperable mobile broadband systems widely available.
The company announced that it was chosen as a member of the Long Term Evolution/System Architecture Evolution Trial Initiative. The project was established in 2007 by telecom technology manufacturers and network operators. Its plan is to develop an interoperable system and do joint tests in 2009 to prepare for system deployments in 2010.
Azimuth said it brings the project testing expertise.
