Acton company Lyla Beauty Bar was granted a $50,000 loan from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. to support the purchase of new laser system equipment, the small business financing organization announced Monday.
“When I opened Lyla’s Beauty Bar in Dec. 2019, I needed a loan to help with the startup costs of establishing my new business,” said Surinee Piwchuen, owner of Lyla Beauty Bar, in an NCMDC press release Monday. “Thanks to my continued relationship with the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp., I’m now able to expand our services to include body sculpting for customers using a new laser system.”
The North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. is the economic development arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, and it provides microloans up to $250,000 to companies throughout the region.
