Accolades & Honors: Sept. 17

David J. Bousquet, chief of police at Worcester-based Becker College, was elected North Atlantic regional director of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators. He has a bachelor's degree in business management from Becker.

Worcester-based Spectrum Health Systems Inc. was selected by the Florida Department of Corrections to operate substance abuse programs at three correctional facilities in the state. The new contracts include 408 residential treatment beds, designed to serve male inmates.

Christopher A. Kenney of Kenney & Sams of Southborough and James Gavin Reardon Jr. of Worcester-based Reardon & Reardon were elected to serve as regional delegates in the Massachusetts Bar Association's House of Delegates. Worcester attorneys Michael R. Christy and Hector E. Pineiro were named leaders of MBA sections. Christy is chair of the Probate Law Section. Pineiro is vice chair of the Civil Litigation Section. Christy is an associate at Mirick O'Connell in Worcester. Pineiro operates the Law Office of Hector E. Pineiro in Worcester.

Kelly Powers, computer science department chair at the Advanced Math and Science Academy in Marlborough, was given the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council Workforce Development Award.

Ryan Kittredge, an independent financial advisor with Richard Carr & Associates in Worcester, earned his Certified Financial Planner designation.

Worcester-based Children's Friend was selected by the Massachusetts Child Trauma Project to participate in a fall training program for children who have been through trauma.

Worcester-based Clark University is in the newest edition of the college guide "Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think about Colleges."

University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester invested Robert H. Brown Jr. and Allan S. Jacobson into endowed positions. Dr. Brown, chair and professor of neurology at UMass Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center, will be selected as the first incumbent Leo P. and Theresa M. LaChance chair in medical research. He is director of the Day Neuromuscular Research Laboratory and co-director of the Neurotherapeutics Institute at UMass Medical School. Jacobson, chair and professor of microbiology and physiological systems, was appointed the Gerald L. Haidak and Zelda S. Haidak distinguished professorship in cell biology.
