Northborough-based Baesis Inc. was named one of the top 25 business partners in the U.S. for Sage 50 software in 2012 by Sage North America. Baesis officials say the designation puts the firm in the top 7 percent of Sage partners in the country.
Natick-based Sundin Associates, a marketing firm, saw four of its affiliated agencies win awards in the latest international W3 Awards competition. Social media efforts in support of Steve the Bike Guy, a mobile bike service in Ashland, and the Manic Mommies parenting website, took gold and silver awards, respectively.
Worcester-based Becker College and eight other institutions were selected as members of the American Council on Education Internationalization Laboratory Cohort. The 16- to 20-month learning community was founded in 2002. Campus teams develop global engagement strategies, among other endeavors.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute's interactive media and game design program was named among the top in the nation by PC Gamer magazine, OnlineColleges.com and The Princeton Review. WPI is featured in the November issue of PC Gamer with eight other American colleges that have notable game design programs.
Leominster-based Heat Trace Products, which makes self-regulating heater cables, received an Exporter of the Year Award for 2012 from ThinkGlobal Inc., publisher of Commercial News USA, the export promotion magazine of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The company was one of 12 national recipients.
Northborough-based Pepper's Fine Catering owners Susan and John Lawrence are recipients of the 2012 Veterans Inc. Whiting Award for Philanthropy. For the past 13 years, the Lawrences have provided culinary classes for veterans.
