Accolades & Honors: Nov. 25

Marvin Silver, an attorney with Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, with offices in Westborough, was named a 2013 Massachusetts Super Lawyer from a rating service involving independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Silver's practice is in estate planning and administration, business, tax and elder law.

Natick-based marketing firm Sundin Associates was the top choice of readers of Banker & Tradesman, and was awarded the trade publication's 2013 Gold Award as the Best Bank Marketing Firm in Massachusetts.

Clark University's Graduate School of Management is featured in The Princeton Review's book, “The Best 295 Business Schools.” The survey asks students at business schools about academics, campus life and career plans. Ratings cover five categories, including admissions selectivity.

Cathy Goodall and Herb White of Worker's Credit Union received Banker & Tradesman's 2013 Credit Union Heroes award. Goodall is vice president, controller and assistant treasurer of the Fitchburg-based credit union. She manages its accounting and finance departments and serves in many community volunteer roles. White is assistant vice president of business development. He joined the credit union in 1976 and is its longest tenured employee. White has volunteered extensively, including at the Salvation Army, for the past 45 years.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute's new sports and recreation center was given an award by the Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) and the U.S. Green Building Certification Institute, which awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Gold certification. PCI named the sports and recreation center its 2013 winner for Best Higher Education Building.

Framingham State University was recognized by Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Rick Sullivan for its energy project, which converted its heating system from oil to natural gas. The project is expected to reduce emissions 30 percent and save the university $15 million over 20 years.

Worcester-based Commerce Bank ranked as the top Small Business Association lender to small businesses in Worcester County for SBA's fiscal year 2013.
