ABC Supply Co. acquires Worcester distributor
Rome Building Products of Worcester, a distributor of exterior building materials, has been acquired by ABC Supply Co. of Beloit, Wis.
With the acquisition, Rome Building Products, at 18 Sherman St., will become the newest ABC Supply branch, and the second ABC Supply branch in Worcester, ABC Supply said Tuesday in a statement.
“Rome Building Products is a well-respected company with a talented team and a strong presence as a supplier of windows and siding. This addition to the ABC family will complement our product offering in this market,” said Tom Kuchan, vice president of ABC Supply’s Northeast Region.
Former Rome Building Products owner Howard Witkes is retiring, the statement from ABC said. However, the other associates, including Dave Porter, who has been named branch manager, will join ABC Supply, Kuchan said.
