Worcester County had 52 newly reported coronavirus cases and seven related fatalities Friday, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The new cases in the county bring the total to 11,937. Statewide, there were 392 new probable and confirmed cases adding to the 105,067 recorded since the pandemic began.
New fatalities within Worcester County bring the total death toll to 856. Throughout Massachusetts, there were 46 new probable and confirmed fatalities contributing to the 7,538 total.
DPH also reported Friday another 11,396 new administered coronavirus tests.
The City of Worcester reported a total of 5,068 cases as of Thursday. Rather than daily, the City is now reporting data only each Thursday.
UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester had a reported 58 inpatient cases, with 25 in intensive care. Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester had 25 and seven, respectively, and Marlborough Hospital had 11 and two.
MetroWest Medical Center in Natick and Framingham reported 23 cases, and Milford Regional Medical Center reports five, according to DPH. Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, Heywood Hospital in Gardner and HealthAlliance in Leominster report a total of 23 suspected and confirmed cases and eight in the ICU.
Nationally, there have been more than 2 million cases and 114,195 fatalities, according to Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. Globally, there have been more than 7.5 million cases and 423,257 deaths.
