Another 46 coronavirus cases were reported Sunday for Worcester County, hitting 337, with Massachusetts cases totaling 4,955.
The latest figures released by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health includes four new deaths, with what is now 48 fatalities.
Worcester County and statewide cases both rose in one day by 16%. The state reported a total of 698 new cases.
The city of Worcester has reported 86 cases, up 11 in one day. The city had 13 total cases a week prior.
The Department of Public Health also reported an additional roughly 4,000 tests having taken place, for a total of more than 39,000. More than 19,000 tests have been reported at the Quest Diagnostics lab in Marlborough, 2,400 of which were found to be positive.
Nationwide, confirmed cases continue rising rapidly, with more than 135,000 cases as of Sunday afternoon, according to Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. There have been nearly 2,400 American deaths. Worldwide, cases have surpassed 710,000, with more than 33,000 deaths.
