Dunn works hand-in-hand with the small business community, managing the city’s financial assistance programs for businesses as well as the brownfields program. He serves as co-chair of the Worcester Business Resource Alliance, a network of 22 small business service providers from the nonprofit and government sectors. He worked on the development of the South Worcester Industrial Park and led initiatives such as the food truck ordinance.
Dunn is a passionate supporter of the Be Like Brit Foundation and serves on its annual golf tournament committee.
Whose career would you like to emulate? Robert Kraft. He has built an empire of successful businesses, began his career in Worcester and has a deep commitment to philanthropy.
What is your advice to aspiring young business people? Take initiative and find meaningful mentors, both inside and outside of your organization.
Where do you get your motivation to succeed? I am self-motivated but also choose to surround myself with like-minded people.
If you could have dinner with any four people, who would they be? Thomas Jefferson, Leonardo da Vinci, John Lennon, Robin Williams.
