MassDevelopment is lending $3 million to help Maynard optical networking company Acacia Communications Inc. expand its facilities and add computers, testing equipment and other laboratory supplies.
The money comes from MassDevelopment’s Emerging Technology Fund. Acacia said it will help the company expand its R&D and manufacturing operations.
Acacia was founded in 2009 and is located in Maynard’s Clock Tower Place. It makes optical and electrical technology for data transmission.
