3Com Corp. reported a 6.5 percent revenue increase for its third quarter and a profit that jumped from $1.9 million a year ago to $41.4 million.
The Marlborough-based network switch, driver and router maker said all the regions in which it sells its products saw double-digit revenue increases except for China, where the company has a major presence. Revenue there was down 1.3 percent, the company said.
The company generated $89.7 million in cash from operations and finished the quarter with $795 million in cash and equivalents compared to $546 million a year ago.
