3Com In Korean Military Deal

Marlborough-based 3Com Corp. has signed two deals with the Korean Army and Korean Air Force to upgrade their local area networks using 3Com equipment.

3Com said the deal is the result of the company’s expansion of its work with large businesses in the finance and education sectors in Korea.

The military projects will require 3Com to overhaul the Korean Army and Air Force’s LAN networks and replace current switches with 3Com switches.

The company makes network routers, switches and other network management equipment.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
