The Better Business Bureau of Central New England named Domitek, Checkerboard LTD and the Telegram & Gazette as the winners of this year’s Central Massachusetts “Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics,” the organization announced last week.
“The Torch Awards are a prestigious honor and all of the honorees demonstrate that upholding the ethical standards of the Better Business Bureau is the hallmark of success," Nancy Cahalen, president and CEO of BBB of Central New England, said in a statement.
Domitek, a Worcester IT services provider, won in the small business category while Checkerboard and the Telegram & Gazette won in the medium and large business categories, respectively. The Torch Awards are presented to businesses that demonstrate corporate responsibility and efforts to ensure that the region’s marketplace remains fair and honorable. Winners were selected from dozens of nominees throughout the region, according to the BBB.
