Worcester County had 22 newly reported coronavirus deaths over the weekend, bringing the total so far to 114.
Total county cases rose by another 304, bringing a total of 3,069, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Statewide, cases rose by another 3,675 to hit 38,077.
New statewide deaths totaled 302 over the weekend, bringing the Massachusetts total to 1,706.
The 22 new Worcester County deaths include a man in his 50s, two women in their 60s, a man in his 70s, six women in their 80s, eight men in their 80s, and four women in their 90s. In nine cases, the victims had pre-existing conditions, while the rest were unknown to the Department of Public Health.
The city of Worcester reported 104 new cases Saturday and Sunday to reach a total of 1,171. As of Sunday, Saint Vincent Hospital and UMass Memorial Health Care had 208 total coronavirus inpatient cases, including 82 in intensive care. The two hospital networks have had 58 total coronavirus deaths, and 125 of their employees have tested positive.
The DCU Center, which has been set up as a field hospital for less-severe coronavirus patients, had 46 homeless residents who've tested positive and 13 others as of Sunday.
As for statewide coronavirus cases, thousands of additional people continue to be tested each day. More than 13,000 new tests were reported over the weekend, bringing the total so far to 162,241.
Nationwide, coronavirus cases totaled nearly 760,000 Monday morning, with nearly 41,000 deaths. Worldwide, more than 2.4 million cases have been reported, with more than 166,000 deaths.
