VICE PRESIDENT, Sovereign Bank
Company location: Worcester
Residence: Worcester
Favorite movie: "The Shawshank Redemption"
Favorite book: Song of Solomon
Career highlights: I am a relationship manager for the Central and Western Massachusetts Corporate Banking Middle Market Team at Sovereign Bank, working with companies with annual revenues greater than $10 million. I work to understand the needs of area businesses and work to craft solutions so they can meet their goals. I have worked in the banking industry in Worcester the past 11-plus years and joined Sovereign Bank this past spring.
Community involvement: I coach baseball in my hometown of Worcester and am an active participant in a number of annual charity events in the Worcester area.
Biggest success: Throughout my career I have been fortunate to work with area companies to provide solutions that allow them to invest in and grow their businesses. Knowing the positive impact the success of these businesses has on the growth and prosperity of the communities in the region as a whole has been very rewarding.
Biggest challenge: Without question, the single biggest challenge for me has been balancing my personal life and my professional career. I find myself constantly striving to find the right balance between home and work.
Mentors: I have benefited from the support and guidance of so many people over the years, including my immediate family, several teachers and various business people in the community. When I am looking for some guidance, I most often look to my father, who always provides good perspective and his honest opinion. When I am looking for support, I most often look to my mother, who provides it unconditionally.
Hidden talents: I am an amateur photographer and movie critic.
