DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & PUBLIC RELATIONS, BBB of Central Massachusetts
Company location: Worcester
Residence: Worcester
Favorite movie: Tie: “Funny Farm” & “What About Bob”
Age: 30
Career highlights: My first job after college was with Pat Hoey Productions/Sales Development Associates, working within the event management industry and sales consulting arena. I moved on to Access TCA, a large exhibit house where I was able to enjoy traveling and managing large-scale events and trade shows. Today, I am happy to be representing BBB and working within the local business community here in Massachusetts.
Community involvement: I have volunteered on a number of committees for various causes and interests throughout the years. Having been born and raised in Worcester, I have had the chance to participate and volunteer with schools, hospitals and local business organizations. Most recently, having married a Clark grad, we actively support their efforts within the Main South community, where I grew up.
Biggest success: Where I am at this moment in my career.
Biggest challenge: Economic uncertainty is a top obstacle for many of us. We have to do more with less, and remain positive in light of so much turmoil.
Mentors: I have more than one mentor, and so often benefit from discussing the many teachable moments that come my way. I am fortunate to have some great people in my life who take the time to share their own experiences and this is of value to me.
Hidden talent: I am fairly handy, actually. Often, power-tools are given as gifts in our family, so it’s easy to see how this could happen.
