Two Central Massachusetts nonprofits are among 108 nationwide that were awarded more than $750,000 in donations by the charitable arm of BJ’s Wholesale Club, which is based in Northborough.
BJ’s Charitable Foundation said it donated $754,220 in the 15 states where BJ’s stores are located. Locally, the Framingham-based Jewish Family Service of MetroWest received $3,500 while The Bridge of Central Massachusetts, based in Worcester, was awarded $7,500.
The donations help focus on four areas: hunger prevention, self-sufficiency, health care and education.
