10. Take care of yourself first
Another way of saying this is “I care” or “Taking care of No. 1.” We can only give to others what we have ourselves. Nourish yourself, love yourself, value you, and then you'll be able to thrive when others need you.
9. Strive for continual growth
There is a saying: “We are either going forward (up) or back (down).” It's impossible to energetically hold your current position. Keep learning and discovering.
8. Meditate
For five to 10 minutes each day, simply sit and let the silence take over your body and mind.
7. Stop trying to prove yourself
Embrace and cultivate your self-esteem. Hold yourself in the highest regard.
6. Talk with your childhood self
Are you living your dream? When was the last time you checked in with your “inner” child to see if you're in the place that was imagined, dreamed and sought all those years ago? And what changes can be made to get closer to your dream?
5. Seek people with similar interests
“The essence of community, its heart and soul, is the non-monetary exchange of value; things we do and share because we care for others, and for the good of the place.” (Dee Hock, “One from Many: VISA and the Rise of Chaordic Organization”)
4. Do something
Because happiness takes effort.
3. Brush your teeth often
Said the holistic dentist. Everyone loves to look at a beautiful smile. Take care of yours, and use it!
2. Always seek freedom
Let go of past restrictions, perceptions and ideas, and explore new ones. There are limits only if you accept them. Embrace the greatness of all possibilities, and the freedom to choose in every moment.
1. Love
It's the greatest and highest state of being, and the opposite of fear. With love comes an open attitude and willingness to accept all the ups and downs in life.
