Movers & Shakers for Sept. 4, 2023

Milford Regional Medical Center has named JOHN SULLIVAN as director of materials management. Sullivan will be responsible for overseeing purchasing, receiving, distribution, storage, inventory control, and maintenance of equipment and supplies used throughout the hospital. He was most recently system director of purchasing for Tufts Medicine health system in Burlington. Sullivan holds an MBA from UMass Lowell and a bachelor’s degree from Bentley University in Waltham.

BETH HODGE

The North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce has named BETH HODGE, associate director of resource development at the United Way of North Central Massachusetts, as ambassador of the year. Chamber ambassadors are volunteers who are front-facing to the community. Hodge was voted as ambassador of the year by her fellow volunteers for her involvement and championing of events and initiatives.

ZACHARY LUCZYK

Mirick O'Connell in Worcester has added two attorneys. JENNIFER FLANAGAN has joined as a partner in the trusts and estates group, and ZACHARY LUCZYK has joined the business group as an associate. Flanagan earned her bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and her law degree from Boston College Law School. Previously, she was a partner at Vacovec, Mayotte & Singer in Newton. Luczyk was most recently an attorney with Lawson & Weitzen in Boston. He received his bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.

Milford Regional Physician Group has added Dr. SUNJAY SETHI to its neurology team. Sethi is board certified in general neurology, neuromuscular medicine, and electro-diagnostic medicine. He was previously a neurologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Sethi earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his neurology residency and neuromuscular medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital, all in Boston.

JAMES MONETTE

MutualOne Bank in Framingham has hired JAMES MONETTE to be its vice president, director of retail banking. In this role, he will oversee the bank's retail operations with an eye to customer service and compliance. Monette was previously assistant vice president, area manager at Workers Credit Union in Littleton. He is a graduate of Assumption University in Worcester and holds an MBA from Fitchburg State University.

LAURA DaROSA

LAURA DaROSA has joined Worcester law firm Mirick O'Connell as an associate in the family law and divorce group. daRosa will focus her practice on matters involving divorce, custody, paternity, contempt, medications, guardianships, and conservatorships. She was most recently a senior associate at Cohen Cleary in Taunton. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and her law degree from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.

YWCA Central Massachusetts has elected to its board new directors and officers. Elected as three-year members of the board of directors are Dr. JENNIFER BRADFORD, assistant professor at UMass Chan Medical School and program director at Community Healthlink, MARCELIS GONZALEZ, executive director for the El Buen Samaritano Food Program, SHANTIE PRASHAD, retail banking officer at Country Bank, and DOREEN SAMUELS, aide at Van Pool Transportation. Elected to serve one-year terms as officers are CHRISTIE BIK, president, director of government affairs and public policy at Fallon Health; MONICA THOMAS-BONNICK, president-elect, vice president at Webster Five, ELIZABETH TRIPP THOMPSON, vice president, innovation and strategic integration director, Hanover Insurance Group, KRISTIN SAWASH, treasurer, vice president, senior commercial banking officer of commercial ending at UniBank, KRISTIN DESOUSA, assistant treasurer, vice president of customer services for Rhode Island Energy, and AMANE ABDELJABER, clerk, program manager, Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General.
