Key players in the Central Mass. life science ecosystem are taking on a new initiative to help launch Worcester to the forefront of bioindustrial manufacturing.

Worcester-based Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives officially opened its pilot biomanufacturing lab on Wednesday, which added 10 new laboratory spaces to the incubator in support of startups.

Timberline Construction, a Canton based company that recently opened a Worcester office, named Clare Connell as its new chief financial officer. She will also serve as CFO of Timberline Communications.
