Future Goals
1. Ensure a diverse mix of high-quality, financially sustainable programs that advance the mission of empowering women and eliminating racism.
2. Integrate racial and gender equity principles and language across all programs, rather than isolating them within a single department.
3. Strengthen development efforts by allocating additional resources to boost philanthropic support.
4. Prioritize pay equity and raise compensation levels to reduce staff turnover and address staffing gaps.
5. Develop succession plans for all key leadership roles to ensure continuity and organizational stability.
Fundraising Opportunities
The YWCA’s signature events include the Tribute to Women (September) and Stand Against Racism Community Breakfast (April). Sponsorships and tickets are available to purchase for both.
Our Annual Holiday Drive runs from early November to mid-December to ensure program participants, children, youth and adults will have a brighter holiday season.
Follow the YWCA on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for updates on these and other fundraising opportunities happening throughout the year!
Giving Opportunities
Support the YWCA Year-Round!
Give online, by mail, or phone anytime. Make a one-time or recurring gift at www.ywcacm.org/donate, mail a check to YWCA Central Massachusetts, 1 Salem Square, Worcester, MA 01608, or contact us at 508-767-2505 x108 or development@ywcacm.org.
Leave a Legacy – Include the YWCA in your will or trust to create a lasting impact.
Donor-Advised Funds –Contributions through Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) are welcome. Facebook Fundraisers – Celebrate a birthday, holiday, or special occasion by creating a fundraiser to benefit your favorite YWCA program—and invite your friends to join in!
In-Kind Gifts – Help families directly by donating items from our Wish List—cleaning products, personal care items, gift cards, and more. The Wish List can be found on our website at https://ywcacm.org/get-involved/in-kind-donations/
Matching Gifts – Double your impact! Ask your employer if they’ll match your gift to the YWCA.
Volunteer Opportunities
The YWCA offers inspiring volunteer opportunities for individuals and small groups—from high school and college students to young professionals, adults, and retirees. Whether you’re looking to give back, build connections, or share your skills, there’s a place for you here! We’re especially seeking passionate adult women to mentor middle and high school girls and serve as financial literacy coaches. Your time and talents can empower the next generation and create lasting change.
