The Worcester Polytechnic Institute is holding a teen entrepreneurship camp designed to give high school students a leg up in “business and social ventures.”
The camp accepts only 30 students, costs $125, and is held between June 25 and 29.
The skills the camp sets out to teach are finding business ideas that fit one’s personality and strengths, setting goals, and recognizing opportunities, as well as practical skills like basic accounting, designing a web site and where to look for money to start a business.
The camp also covers “entrepreneurial mindset skill development” with courses like networking skills, negotiating skills, naming a business and designing a business card.
