The Career and Leadership Conference for Purpose-Driven Young Professionals returns to Worcester this Friday, with a day of programming meant to help young professionals navigate today’s changing work environments.
Scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Creative Hub Worcester, CLC is hosted by Visions Internships, a Marlborough-based company founded by Amy Mosher Berry.
Mosher Berry said the event looks to empower young people to navigate uncertainty, balance their career growth with their mental health, and determine how they can succeed financially and professionally while doing good work in the world.
Participating panelists and speakers include Timothy Hally, co-founder of Worcester-based creative agency Munq; James Goldsberry, founder and CEO of Ashland-based career coaching firm NextUp2Lead; and Urvashi Batra, co-founder of Boston-based IT firm Prioriwise.
“All of these seasoned, experienced professionals are coming, they’re giving up their day to give to young professionals, so that young people can develop the skills, tools, and the connections to succeed,” Mosher Berry said.
The event’s schedule includes breakout sessions on topics including acing interviews and dealing with burnout; career stations attended by industry experts; and lunch and learn panels on professional growth and women in STEM.
CLC was first held in 2024 at Venture X coworking space in Marlborough, attracting about 18 attendees, Mosher Berry said. Last year’s conference moved to the White Room in Worcester and drew 82 people. Mosher Berry said she expects this year’s event to draw more than 100.
The conference started as a way to support young professionals, who Mosher Berry said are often misunderstood by older leaders.
CLC will feature a closing networking event open to outside guests as well as conference attendees, featuring a DJ, appetizers, and summer mocktails. The social is scheduled to start at 4:45 p.m.

Mosher Berry started Visions Internships in 2020. She is a former adjunct professor at both Clark University and Worcester State University, and she worked for five years at the City of Worcester’s Workforce Central Career Center.
