Warby Parker expands with new Acton store

New York-based eyeglass retailer Warby Parker is opening a new storefront in Acton, continuing its transition from an online-only retailer to one with more than 360 stores.

The new storefront will occupy a 2,790-square-foot space at the Brookside Shops plaza, according to real estate data firm CoStar.

Expected to open this fall, it will be Warby Parker’s 19th store in Massachusetts. The brand has existing Central Massachusetts locations in Millbury, Natick, and Westborough.

The Brookside Shops plaza contains 75,529 square feet of retail space and was constructed in 2002. Newton-based real estate firm Crosspoints Associates purchased the site for $21 million in February 2024 from New York-based Clarion Partners.

Other tenants in the plaza include Trader Joe’s, J.Crew Factory, Wonder, New York Bagel Factory, X-Golf, and Staples. One 3,000-square-foot retail space at Brookside Shops remains available for rent, according to a June 23 LinkedIn post from Jeff White, partner and principal broker at Concord-based Aries Commercial Real Estate.
