Some Worcester residents should be downloading files and posting photos faster on their mobile devices, thanks to an expansion of Verizon Wireless‘s 4G LTE coverage in the city.
Verizon says the service is up to 10 times faster than the previous generation of cell phone networks and can offer download speeds of 5 to 12 megabits per second and 2- to 5-second upload speeds.
Verizon said it invested more than $297 million in its New England network in 2011.
