Worcester-based Verax Biomedical Inc. has made R. Scott McKenzie senior vice president of operations and Nancy Hornbaker vice president of regulatory affairs.
McKenzie previously worked for Abbott Diagnostics in Ireland.
Hornbaker came to Verax from Biologics Consulting Group, where she was a regulatory consultant.
Verax develops rapid tests for detecting bacterial contamination in blood cells and tissue.
