Worcester-based Verax Biomedical Inc. has received ISO quality management certification for its design, development and manufacturing operations.
The ISO certification is a standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization. The certification is required by Canada and Europe for the marketing of Verax products.
Verax makes rapid tests for detecting bacterial contaminants in blood cells and tissue. It received clearance for its Platelet PGD test system from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last month.
