Unum Corp., the Tennessee-based insurer with a large office in Worcester, contributed more than $12 million in 2011, between corporate contributions and employee donations.
Unum said it gave more than $7.2 million in donations and $520,000 in in-kind contributions. Employees at the company also donated more than $2.7 million to nonprofits like the United Way and volunteered nearly $2 million worth of time.
