The Waters Corp. of Milford says it’s ready to introduce a liver and kidney monitoring kit for transplant patients in America.
The kit, which is called the MassTrak Immunosuppressant Kit, is already available in Europe, and recently received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Waters says it is the first commercially available kit specifically designed to quantify the immunosuppressant tacrolimus in kidney and liver transplant patients.
The kit is expected to be available in the U.S. in the fall.
