Future Goals

1. Welcome world-class productions to Worcester, including a robust Broadway Series and brand-new Dance Series celebrating movement and artistry in its many forms.

2. Fuel Worcester’s theatre district with diverse and transformative offerings at The Hanover Theatre main stage, The BrickBox Theater at the Jean McDonough Arts Center, The Hanover Theatre Conservatory, the Bank of America outdoor stage on the Francis R. Carroll Plaza, and beyond.

3. Provide safe spaces for connection and discovery.

4. Identify and address structural and cultural drivers of racism, unconscious bias, and inequities impacting our organization with assistance from our new Senior Director of People and Culture along with our diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) committee.

5. Build our capacity, leveraging opportunities to open the aperture to increase and diversify revenue streams.

Monthly giving options and online donations are gladly accepted 24 hours a day. You may choose to support our general, unrestricted fund, Access to the Arts, The Donald Phipps Mighty Wurlitzer Organ Fund, The Hanover Theatre Repertory Fund, or our Scholarship Fund.

Support from individuals, corporations, businesses, and charitable foundations plays a vital role in sustaining our dynamic cultural organization. Whether you donate unused tickets back to the theatre, or support one of our fundraising campaigns, contributions accumulate to unlock membership benefits at a variety of levels. Benefits include advance notification of new shows, invitations to behind-the-scenes events, complimentary parking, beverages and access to our VIP lounge.

Volunteer Opportunities

The theatre offers rewarding and meaningful volunteer opportunities, including the following:

Ushers, ticket takers, and greeters make the theatre experience a smooth and welcoming one for patrons. The overwhelming majority of our 250 volunteers serve in these roles. Our volunteers enjoy camaraderie with each other and, of course, helping our patrons have a positive experience when they are at our venues. Volunteer ushers must commit to working two shows per month each season.

Tour guides give historic and architectural tours of the theatre for groups during the fall and spring seasons, as needed.

Administrative volunteers assist staff with various tasks on an as-needed basis. Certain tasks may be scheduled weekly, depending on departmental needs.

We always welcome new volunteers to join our inspiring, passionate team. For more information about opportunities and how to get involved, visit TheHanoverTheatre.org/Volunteer.
