Summit Financial Corp., a Burlington-based agency with offices throughout Worcester County, has been acquired by Hub International Limited, the Chicago brokerage announced Monday morning.
Summit, an employee benefits, retirement and financial consulting firm, has more than 350 local and national clients. Its Worcester offices are on Waldo Street.Â
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Summitt’s leadership and staff, including President Joe Bonasera, will join Hub and operate out of Summit’s existing offices.
In a statement, Bonasera said the move allows the company to utilize Hub’s resources while remaining a boutique firm.

The former Summit staff and leadership will report to Hub’s regional New England president, Charles Brophy.
