Emmy Award-winning director and producer Sunny Lake is selling a rare Jim Hendrix multi-track studio master tape through an online auction later this week.
Lake, founder and president of Crush Media Solutions in Sterling, will put the tape up for bidding starting Saturday at noon through The Fame Bureau and LiveAuctioneers.com, which will auction the tape in London, according to a statement.
The two-inch tape of the late rock legend has an estimated value of $100,000 to $150,000. It contains music Hendrix was working on during the months before he died in 1970. Some of the songs on the tape contain lyrics and performances that have never been published.
