According to a report from Northboro-based Brockmann & Co., business users give the software industry a failing grade in anti-spam performance.
The report said 36 percent of firms surveyed lost business because important emails were mistakenly identified as spam, and never arrived.
“The 475 repsondents told us that although e-mail is very important to business, it is not a very satisfying experience,” said Peter Brockmann, president of Brockmann & Co.
The report said businesspeople get an average of 11.2 spam messages each day.
