Today, Franklin-based Sontra Medical Corp. changes its name to Echo Therapeutics Inc. after its recent merger with that company.
With the new name comes a new ticker symbol, ECTE, and a new website, www.echotx.com.
Sontra, which last year came close to delisting, but was bailed out by its executives, makes medical devices.
Echo Therapeutics makes a variety of topical and transdermal medical products and is developing a needle-free transdermal glucose monitor for diabetics.
