An entity associated with the head of a Maine automotive group bought for $1.69 million the property containing the Marlborough branch of M&T Bank set to have its grand opening on Friday.
IRA Hyundai Inc., a Walpole-based entity managed by David and Judith Rosenberg, purchased the site at 322 Maple St. in a deal finalized on Friday, according to the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds. David Rosenberg is the principal dealer of DSR Motor Group and the son of Ira Rosenberg, the late founder of Ira Motor Group. Judith was Ira’s wife, according to Ira’s 2019 obituary.
Rosenberg purchased the site from Auburn-based Lundgren Equity Partners, which had purchased the site from what is now Boston-based Beacon Bank for $1.25 million in 2024. The site was formerly home to a Commerce Bank before Beacon’s acquisition of the firm in 2017. M&T Bank now operates a branch at the site under a 10-year lease expiring in 2035.
The sale will not impact M&T’s branch at the site, said Kathy Curran, vice president, senior public relations manager for New England at the Buffalo-based bank. The branch is celebrating its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting at 9:30 a.m. Friday
David Rosenberg did not respond to a request for comment.
The bank building takes up 2,772 square feet of the 0.85-acre site. The property received a 2026 assessment of $1.08 million, according to City of Marlborough property records.
