The U.S. unemployment rate is holding fairly steady above 8 percent, but staffing firm Robert Half International points to some professional jobs where the story is entirely different.
For the first quarter of 2012, the unemployment rate for lawyers stood at 1.9 percent. For human resource managers, the figure was 2.8 percent, and software developers and financial analysts both had rates less than 4 percent.
Robert Half said the numbers suggest an increasingly “specialist economy.”
