RFK Community Alliance raised more than $425,000 for its residential clients at the Lancaster-based human services nonprofit’s annual fundraising event.
The funds raised at RFK’s 19th annual Embracing the Legacy celebration on Wednesday were among the highest total donations raised in the event’s history, Naomi Reville LeBlanc, RFK assistant vice president of strategic communications, wrote in an email to WBJ.
In fiscal 2024, RFK generated $46.67 million in revenue and had $49.01 million in assets, according to nonprofit financial tracker Candid.
The $425,000 will support clients in RFK’s residential programs, which include adult residential care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as residential treatment and education programs for youth, according to the nonprofit.
“At RFK Community Alliance, learning, healing – and getting to the place of thriving – is an active process. These aren’t things we can hand to someone. It’s something they claim and shape every day,” Kathy Mills, RFK president and CEO, said in a Thursday press release. “We focus our work on supporting people to be connected, capable, and healthy. Every day offers us a new opportunity to build a better world together – one life at a time.”
When ranked by revenue from the most recent fiscal year available, RFK is Central Massachusetts’ 17th-largest human services nonprofit, according to WBJ’s Research Department.
Founded in 1896, RFK Community Alliance provides a range of services for those with complex needs in addition to its residential programs. The nonprofit offers adoption services, behavioral health outpatient care, incarceration diversion advocacy, and schooling.
