Retail and food service sales for November increased slightly, by 0.2 percent, from October, but rose 6.7 percent over the previous November, the Census Bureau announced.
Seasonally adjusted sales totaled $399.3 billion nationwide. Total sales from September through November were up 7.4 percent from the same period in 2010.
Retail trade sales were up 0.3 percent from October and 6.8 percent above last year while non-store retail sales rose 13.9 percent over last year and gasoline station sales rose 12.9 percent.
