Framingham
The
Framingham Planning and Zoning Subcommittee voted unanimously in favor to move forward a zoning amendment to
City Council to limit the size of large structures that can be built in general resident districts by prohibiting variances that could be given on a property under new dimensional regulations. Those dimensional regulations were not decided upon.
Franklin
Revised plans for the proposed
Donovan Estates subdivision at 47 Partridge St. are under review by the
Franklin Planning Board. The project from the
Donovan Family Realty Trust would create eight single-family home lots on about 11.6 acres, along with a new 600-foot cul-de-sac roadway, water infrastructure, and stormwater facilities draining toward nearby Shephards Brook.
Gardner
Gardner Community Action Committee has finished building a new clothing pantry at 294 Pleasant St., which was part of a project by a local
Scouting America Eagle Scout. In addition to clothing, the pantry will provide toiletries and personal care items for community members.
Grafton
In their Feb. 25 meeting, members of the
Grafton Economic Development Commission discussed ongoing efforts to market commercial development sites in town, including parcels along Westboro Road near Route 122. Officials said the area has infrastructure and zoning capable of supporting large commercial or life sciences facilities as the
Town of Grafton works to attract new employers.
Hudson
Online car retailer
Carvana has purchased the former
Colonial Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Hudson and has received a Class I motor vehicle dealer license from the
Hudson Select Board to sell new and used vehicles at the dealership at 24 Coolidge St.
The 4.4-acre property contains a 23,134-square-foot building and 112 parking spaces.
65 Main St Partners LLC of Worcester, an entity affiliated with
Freedom Management of Worcester, purchased a property featuring a 12,388-square-foot, mixed-use building 65-67 Main St. for $4.5 million from
Ironwood Realty of Bolton.

Leominster
Dillis & Roy Civil Design Group, based in Lunenburg, presented a site plan application to the
Leominster Planning Board to renovate the building at 26 Union St. into a single-family home and construct five residential duplex buildings to be rented. The proposal received positive feedback from community members and is pending formal review.
Lunenburg
SupplyOne of Pennsylvania signed a new lease for 150,374 square feet of industrial space at 475 Leominster Shirley Road from
Berkeley Partners of California.

Milford
Alpine Place LLC of Franklin is seeking a special permit from the
Town of Milford to utilize 225 West St. in Milford as a contractor’s yard, including the construction of a two-story, 7,200-square-foot building with 15 parking spaces. At the Feb. 17 meeting of the
Milford Planning Board, engineers from
D&L Design Group of Milford presented a site plan application for a proposed tie-in to the sewer system through the rear of the property and potential water service installation. The Milford Planning Board continued the review to March while requesting additional drainage analysis and departmental feedback.
Marcelo Alves, who is president of
New Generation Custom Homes in Franklin, is the manager of Alpine Place, according to filings with the
Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.
Natick
New York-based
Raymour & Flanigan is opening a 105,000-square-foot flagship showroom at the
Natick Mall, according to a company press release. The two-story site will be the brand’s seventh location in the state when it opens in late March, joining the store’s other Central Massachusetts location in Millbury. The location fills space vacated by New York-based
Lord & Taylor in 2020.
Adore Nails of Natick signed a new lease for 3,168 square feet of retail space at 11 Main St. from
Stonegate Group of Natick.

Shrewsbury
Worcester-based
GoVenture Capital Group proposed a mixed-use development and special permit to the
Shrewsbury Planning Board to construct a 12,000-square-foot commercial building at 525 Hartford Turnpike, along with two five-story residential buildings with a maximum of 250 units.
Real estate firm
IREIT Shrewsbury White City is seeking a site plan approval and special permit to renovate 333 South St., a property formerly occupied by
UMass Chan Medical School’s president’s office, into a manufacturing enterprise with an accessory dwelling space.
Southborough
The
Southborough Planning Board voted at its March 9 meeting to approve a plan to convert a portion of an office building at 352 Turnpike Road into housing for participants in
Disability Assistance & Vocational Education, Inc.’s full-time programming. The project will see 17 one-bedroom units, four two-bedroom units, and two three-bedroom units built on the building’s upper floor, as well as the construction of common space and classrooms.
Defense and space manufacturing firm
Thalrix has leased 2,000 square feet of industrial space at 40 Southville Road in Southborough. The space was leased from
Gleeson Powers of Southborough, with
Marilyn Santiago and
Garrett Quinn of
NAI | Parsons Commercial Group - Boston serving as leasing representatives. Thalrix builds devices used to counter unmanned aircraft systems.
Sturbridge
After serving in the role since November 2005,
Jean Bubon will retire as the town planner for the
Town of Sturbridge on Aug. 11. She previously served in a similar role for the
Town of Palmer. In the
Sturbridge Select Board meeting in February, the board members praised Bubon’s work before accepting her resignation. The matter concluded with a standing ovation for Bubon.
Worcester
The
Worcester Planning Board voted at its Feb. 18 meeting to recommend the rezoning of about 7.75 acres of land near Highland Street and Suburban Street to allow for the construction of multi-family housing. The proposed change will still need a sign off from the
Worcester City Council.
Ragtag Pet Grooming of Worcester has leased 1,284 square feet of retail space at 376 Chandler St. from
Eurayshia Williams Properties LLC, a Worcester-based entity managed by
Eurayshia Williams.
Brian Johnson and
Thomas Bodden of
Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates in Worcester served as leasing representatives.
416 Belmont Realty LLC of West Boylston, an entity managed by
John Maroney and
Kirill Vesselov, purchased three properties containing a total of six residential units for $1.75 million from
6 Coburn Avenue LLC of Holden, an entity managed by
Tony Bianco. The properties are at 6 Coburn Ave., 5 Alvarado Ave., and 7 Alvarado Ave.
