Private payrolls grew by 32,000 in April, according to a report published by payroll firm Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP).
Also, the estimated change in employment from February to March was revised up by ADP, from a decline of 23,000 to an increase of 19,000.
With the revision, the ADP report now shows three straight months of job gains.
The ADP survey counts private-sector jobs only. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which is scheduled to release employment data Friday, also counts government workers.
