To aid in the company’s growth in the southern region of the country, Worcester-based Polar Beverages announced the acquisition of the bottling business owned by the Winn-Dixie chain of grocery stores.
The manufacturing site, located in Fitzgerald, Ga., produces carbonated beverages and teas, according to Polar.
It will give the company “abundant excess capacity” and a path to continued growth in the southeast and in Florida, Polar noted in a press release.
The facility will be renamed Polar Beverages-Southern Bottling.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
