Polar Beverages is expanding its presence in its home city of Worcester with the lease of 35,000 square feet in a Quinsigamond Village warehouse.
The space at 149 Greenwood St. will be used to support Polar’s main manufacturing site in Worcester, said David Harding, vice president of real estate and faculty management. That site is about a five-minute drive away at 1001 Southbridge St.
With the addition of the Greenwood Street space, Polar now has 12 properties in Worcester and Auburn. The firm has additional locations in Chicopee and Bridgewater, bringing its Massachusetts footprint to about 1.4 million square feet.
Polar plans to move into the Greenwood Street space in September, according to real estate data firm CoStar.
The 42,442-square-foot building was constructed in 1958 and is owned by trusts in the names of Alan Lowe of Mashpee and Stephen and Harriet Lowe of Worcester, according to City of Worcester property records.
David Cohen and Drew Higgins of Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates in Worcester served as the leasing representatives for this transaction.
