Canton-based Dunkin’ Donuts said it will open its first shop in China in the spring.
The donut chain plans to open 100 new shops in China in the next 10 years, and already has shops in Taiwan.
The company recently granted the franchise rights for Shanghai, and provinces of Jiangsu, Zhijiang in the People’s Republic of China to Mercuries & Associates, which is the franchise partner for Taiwan.
Mercuries opened its first Dunkin’ Donuts shop in Taiwan last January, and now runs 10 shops there.
